Harold Washington Library – Rooftop ArtworkChicago, Illinois
TGRWA provided the analysis, structural design and working drawings for the artwork elements and their support systems. The seven individual assemblies are located at the four corners of the library and at the midpoint of three sides of the library’s roof. The Artwork is composed of spiraling foliage, winged leaves and five owls, all fabricated from aluminum. Structural steel support framing connects the artwork to the building structure.
