TGRWA PROJECTS: SHAKE SHACK

TGRWA is continuing to provide structural engineering services for Shake Shack restaurants throughout the U.S. Nearly 200 projects have been completed since 2012 in over 30 states at some of the country’s most high-profile retail locations and notable buildings, including the Mall of America, Willis Tower, The Rockefeller Center, and the City Creek Center in Salt Lake City. They include new free-standing construction and interior tenant buildouts of existing spaces, typically utilizing wood, steel, and masonry structures. Additionally, TGRWA has worked with Shake Shack to develop a prototype free-standing structure that can be used almost anywhere in the country. Although the architectural designs vary to suit the local markets, the projects often include features such as support of mechanical equipment, interior architectural elements, skewed and sloped framing, signage framing, and exterior canopies.
