Lake + Forest Development

TGRWA provided the structural design, working drawings and construction administration services for the Lake + Forest Development. The development is a mixed use 500,000 square foot building located in Oak Park, Illinois and includes a twenty-two story residential tower, a four story parking structure with below grade parking and a seven story residential / retail wing. The building structure includes flat plate post-tensioned concrete slabs in the parking and residential spaces and structural steel framing in the retail spaces. The floor slabs are supported by reinforced concrete columns and shear walls supported by belled reinforced concrete caissons. A unique feature of the building includes a fully landscaped exterior terrace over the parking garage.
